Alldomains.com is a scam!

I recently was sent an email from a guy interested in buying my domain name. He offered me $10,000. I accepted. He then said that I must get it appraised first. He will only accept alldomains.com apprasial because 'they are the best' *yeah right* Luckily, my friend told me about this scam before (the alldomains owner offers to buy your domain if you get an apprasial- you get one and you never hear from them again). Being hopeful, I told him I would pay for half of the apprasial if he pays half, he said okay so I went through with it even though I knew better (but I was gonna get my money back from paypal). So they appraise my domain and say its worth $20k *yeah right, more like $100* I send the guy the appraisal and he says he was no longer interested.

Then, GUESS WHAT, 2 days later I hear from godaddy that I'm being accused of selling the domain to the guy and scamming HIM (he got my info from the appraisal form & used our emails as 'evidence')! He was trying to take my domain from me! I had to go through a lot of crap to prove he was a lier! Thankfully, they believed me. I also got my appraisal money back from paypal! So warning- dont deal with alldomains

Yeah someone offered me the $1200 I was asking for a domain and demanded appraisal. I remembered that someone offering a lot of money but requiring you pay something first is a classic "Spanish Prisoner" scam. I looked it up and sure enough, this scam is rampant. Didn't realize they were also trying to steal domain names too though!

Lucky they didn't get your domain.... 10k is a bit too go to be true though dont you think.. unless its like mcdonalds.com or something :P

Yeah there are plenty of those "appraisal" scams on the internet.

If you need a decent appraisal on a domain just send me a PM; I'm fairly knowledgable in most subjects.

oh man there's just so many internet scams out there today... and so much crap you need to sift through to find something that is legitimate. Take spam mail. I think my e-mail life is taking a hit because I won't even open a new e-mail up unless it's from someone I know.
