Default WHOIS privacy

Do any of you know websites that keep your deatils private when you but a domain name? You know, so no one can do a whois search on your domain and get your home address?

Hi,

I am not sure of any that give it away with a new domain registration. I do know that at godaddy.com you can add privacy for 10 bucks a year.

I have used moniker.com for $4 per domain per year. I think a little Googling could turn up a few that are even cheaper.

There are services that mask your details when people do a Whois.
At www.mydomain.com they have that service but you need to pay though.

Why should one do a whois mask when people can find your mail from your whois and send you mail for example that they want to buy your domain!

netrillium offers a service that hides your details and puts theirs instead in the whois when you first buy your domain name.

?? I'm not sure what you mean. But I do the whois service anytime I question a site's credibility. It helps me to spot a lot of scams, and save a lot of money.
