I'd like more info on becoming a reseller. Where do you start? How can you tell if it's legit or not? Are you then responsible for any problems with the buyers sites? Such as downtime or anything they want help with?

I'd love to hear from those that are reselling. Is there good money to be made in this?

I personally stay away from resellers.
Its like getting second handed goods at higher prices.

enom's 8.95 reseller, now your just selling for someone else and they make the price higher and pay you fraction of the sale price. Right?

I just avoid these things. Though i do work for a game server company. I plan on starting my own company once i turn 18.

I read somewhere that like 70% of all business fail during the first 2 years because they didnt get enough customers, but if you do it right you can make some money

i have a server which i pay $70 on which is a reseller account. I have 7 sites on it, very little load on the box. If i was reselling some accounts at $10/month it wouldnt be that bad to recoupe some of the costs.

Just have to find customers you know who are loyal and wont be spamming from the box.

I know several resellers now rate the godaddy reseller plans as a better deal than enom..also better support so ive heard. But damn how many domains would you have to sell to make a dollar...im thinking a lot. The margins are sooo tight. Especially when you can reg with godaddy for like $6, why use a reseller at all?

There are still many host providing reseller accounts, search on google you will find number of host there.
