Confusing Domain

Hi. I'll just keep this short and simple. I was creating a website and wanted the name to be www.gamingjunky.com However it seems to be taken, or as the domain name sites say. Yet I can not find this site anywhere.

Its really annoying; if someone bought the name, why not use it? Am I doing something wrong or missing something? Anyone know whats wrong and if so, is it fixable?

I guess the domain you're talking about is parked.
The owner of the domain will get some revenue
if visitors click on the ads.

Yes, it's quite common for people to own domains and not use them.
I happen to be one of those people who haven't gotten around to do anything meaningful except, park them--there is some payback there as RampantChaos wrote.

We're all waiting for other companies or entrepreneurs to see the value in our domains and pay gobs of cash for them : )

Yeah ,in this way ,the people who park them do make profit .And it is an easy to make money .

Yes I know a lot of people who register names with this Global Domains International - The Internet Land Rush is On! and pay only 10 dollars a month for it and are receiving over a thousand dollars a month income. It´s not one of those get rich quick scemes,but it works and is simple.. regards Alan

Yes, maybe you can ask the owner. Since most of domain owner who parked their domain name might consider to sell them (with a good price)
