Anyone have any experience or reviews on 1&1 Hosting?

I'm quite familiar with the company and management.
Currently, I use the domain registration services, which are good. I host elsewhere but I do have friends that have accounts at 1&1.

I first signed on with 1and1 when they were doing their free promotional offer for 5 years of free hosting on their cheapest package (5gigs transfer, 500 megs space, and all the benefits). They were offering it because they had just gone international - being just a UK company before. I was so amazed at their support offered for the free service and the duration of it. Unfortunately the promotion is over now but I continue to host most of my sites with them due to their prompt service and excellent uptime. Another thing I have noticed is the price of their domains - If you purchase through them (no need to host through them as well) it's only $5.99 for a top-level domain - which is easily one of the best prices I've ever seen. So all in all - 1and1 = 10. (in binary)
