Question Does anyone?

Ok--I have a MYSQL/PHP site with various forms but it's not ecommerce. I had a provider--separate from my hosting which is on cpanel---that handled my backend database. It harvested my form data when they were submitted and processed it into a downloadable webbased database. Actually, I got that provider before I switched to PHP but... regardless, that company recently went out of business. Right now I have all my forms on email only. I know we have the capability of doing our own backend database but I'm trying to find out if anyone does that for you since that would be userfriendly. If not , should I try working the database straight through the server or get a program (which?) to handle the database... HELP!

I would try and Use ftpMyAdmin works great and you might be should be able to upload all the data that you allready have on file. You will need to contact your hosting plan to find out for sure.
