I am trying to decide on a shopping cart for my domain. I am tossed between xcart & squirellcart. I need ups shipping for shipping cost. So that is why I have narrowed it down to these two. Are there others that anyone else has used along with ups shipping that they like or has anyone any likes or dislikes about the 2 that I am considering.

I don't have any experience with either of the shopping carts you are looking at. I have implemented oscommerce (recommended), mambo-phpshop, and paypal systems.

I have used both and prefer xcart for the ease of implementing ups and fed-ex shipping cost calculator.

I second the OSCommerce recommendation. They are fairly user friendly and worked well for me.

For the most part, in my opinion, which shopping cart software you use doesn't really matter much. Sure, it'll have an effect, but for the most part that effect will be minimal. It won't truly influence anything.

You can also look into CubeCart and ZenCart.

I never get why people want shopping carts when you can add a paypal button in your website and you are done!
I would go with PayPla expect it is not shopping cart system!

I have seen ZENCart shopping carts as well.
And I must say that the interface is one of the best.

Paypal can be set up as a shopping cart syestem. You can configure it to selll single items, or multiple items on your pages with a shopping cart. Very cool actually. I just set one up for a website recently.

All the shopping cart mention above are good but I think it depend on indivdual and mode of payment you want to adopt for your service.

Yes both CubeCart and ZenCart looks like good programs.
I found a place where you can do an install immediately.
You may want to test out CubeCart and then install Zen to see which one sits you the best.
