Hi,

Any experts who can answer this? (prob quite a simple question!)

I have a Members table and an Attendance table and have some questions: If I want a one to many relationship since one member can have many attendances, do I need a joining table?

It really depends on what you're tracking - are these attendances at a class? At an event? Do you need to track groups of members attendances? etc.

I didn't need another table in the end! when would you need a joining table when you only have two tables?

Generally when there's a "many to many" relationship. I.e. one member can have many "attendances" and one "attendance" can have many guests.
