Default Web conferencing systems allowing remote access

These new web conferencing systems that allow remote access as well look great but don’t they give an impression that they will open the door to possible hackers or undesirable softwares as our computer will be online all the time?

Remote access can be a potential security issue but I think if you use on-premise collaboration tools such as Rhub's TurboMeeting - Web Conferencing Appliance Remote Desktop Access Control Support PC Mac System Software Server Solution Meeting Conference Tool then it should be fine especially because you will be the initiator of the remote access codes and there is no emailing of codes, usernames or passwords. Also appliances such as Rhub do not store any passwords in the local or remote computers and also irreversibly encrypt meeting session passwords in the database.

I am also using the web conferencing appliance from RHUB (http://www.rhubcom.com). It is great as it offers excellent remote access facility without compromising on security or safety.

It allows you to avail the facility of remote access as it is on-premise and you are in control of the remote access codes. No concerns at all about your computer getting hacked with security features firmly in place!
