I am currently planning on building a new computer.I wondering what hardware need to get driver updates for (first time building a computer). I know you need to update the motherboard and the graphics card. What else? Thanks everyone.

Hi

As far as updating components it shouldnt be too difficult, especially if your building a new pc. If you OS is Vista, just try picking components that are compatible and it should work fine without any updates. And so on for any OS.

Also, I'm a fan of "if its working right, why update?". Sometimes updating a component can make it worse rather than better.

Santos you also might try a Bios update. More than that, if you build an AMD dual-core you should download the dual core optimizer from their homepage.

1. Performance has not been tuned for minimum system configuration. Increasing the RAM above the recommended system configuration will improve performance, specifically when you are running multiple applications, working with large projects, or doing enterprise-level development.
