Reality in Health Insurance
The reality is that no health insurer could ever match the “fair” cost for all treatment imagined by professionals. Health insurance should focus on providing the care that the vast majority of people need (usually the primary and defensive treatment) but provide funding which is economically viable for the dentist for that treatment. The health insurer will then achieve the primary goal which is to provide broad based sufficient funding so that the majority of members can access most of their treatment needs without fear of huge co- payments.
