I started a website for gamers and I want to sell ad space so that i can give my staff a salary but i am not sure the best way to get people to buy the ad space, any suggestions?

If you want to keep under google's radar you can advertise ad space on webmaster forums like this and sitepoint.com

Otherwise there are a lot of 3rd party sites that will handle selling your ad spots for you.

The bad thing about 3rd parties they eat up lots of commission.

first you need to increase your traffic,... much higher would be better, after that you can promote or sale your space on forum webmaster link DP... but if you want more you can go here for the complete list of forum that you can sell or buy ads...Biggest Forum List | Tip and Trick
