I've used asmallorange hosting before and I'll also vouche for their quality and speed in technical support (amougst other things). They'll answer you right away, and they (at least appear) to genuinely care about satifying their customers.
I've also used godaddy - they're decent. They have their limits though - but I tend to use them for more domain - related activity.
