Just remembering way back when. I think it was around 1998 or so when I launched my first site Hometoolz.com. It was simply a matter of signing up at google and putting a search box on you site. I beleive the payout was 1 or 3 cents for everyone that used the search box and you sent there way. Shortly after other engines like Go, Excite and others followed with their own affiliate programs.

Nowadays affiliate sites are frowned upon by google and others in the industry and yet they pioneered the whole idea. go figure.....

Anyone else remember those days?
