The Meta Keyword tag is dead. The function was left out in about 1998 or something.
In present time there are some small SEs that still use them and they could have a minor function as well in the bigger SEs. It won't hurt to have it but make sure you don't reapeat the KWs.
I remember I read one SEO wrote some time ago about the Meta KW tag something like: It is good to have, at least I know for which keywords to optimize that web page for.
