Nice old little trick
Downside is that in detailed mode you can still see a folder (Type category). And if you select all (ctrl+a) you can see its space coloring blue.
Many people have "Hide system folders" on by default, or cause they don't want to mess with it. So in cmdprompt do this:
attrib +s <folder/file name>
can add a +h too to make it hidden, but that option is off alot
