Well I perosnally am a DieHard Adobe fan. So i use their latest Adobe Creative Suite 3.
Its comes with everything a web designer needs.
Photoshop (For All PSD template editing)
Dreamweaver (Best WYSIWYG editors)
Fireworks (Web Arts)
Flash (For Flash Building)
YOu really can't go wrong with this software.
