VPS Solutions and shared hosting packages are 2 different concepts. VPS can be compared to a less configured dedicated server. It allows full SSH root access or RDP which determines privilege over the hosting package. A VPS hosting account can be setup as fast as a shared hosting account.
Any client will no longer require to host his account or website on a server which has a lot of configurations which he does not require.
Reliability, customization and can be achieved on a VPS where he can install applications as per his requirements and not select from which has been installed on the server.
Not only this, performance and individuality is definitely enhanced when compared to a shared or a reseller hosting package for a reasonable price.
My suggestion to client is to opt for a VPS if they have customized requirements and if they are looking for more performance.
