Very true, no one wants to be associated with "fooling a search engine" frankly if you are in a highly competitive industry where conversions are tough, you really have no choice, since, white hat will not cut it anymore
As long as there is no spam involved, its a sense of high level coding to deliver targeted terms. trying to fool ppl is a bad thing, BUT bots, to me the game is wide open
