My favorite FTP program is SSH Secure Shell. It's the safest file transfer client I've used and allows access to university databases, if you get access from one of the many leechers out there (not difficult, search forums). Great for Media files and besides, students allow for 75 percent of peer-to-peer file distribution. Check it out. You can get the free version from their public http domain, available at their website. Google: "SSH - Support - Maintenance Release Downloads"
