Myspace on my site
Ok, so I was thinking to have something similar to a Myspace on my own site (in my username, can't yet post links). I know there is a way to do it via CGI however I am unfamiliar with it. I posted here to see if there is already a script for this somewhere in the vast internet. Google seems to not show up anything. I know only enough CGI in order to run formail for feedback on my site, and I would assume it is something similar but it is posted on the site in a directory. Here's my ideal layout for this:
-Home page for "profiles" which automaticly adds profiles as people create them in links to their own page
-Search bar for searching for people
-Each person has one page, similar to myspace, where they put anything they want on it including images
-An email program, monitorable, that allows to email back and forth between users
It sounds like a lot of work, could anyone give me a head start on this? Links to articles are nice.
