Windows vs. Linux
In this months issue at Forbes, Forbes interviews an employee of Microsoft who's goal is to get rid of Linux.
It is a rather entertaining article.
Linux went from being a name M$ barely knew, to being its biggest competitor.
Because of the dislike of M$ that exists throughout the web, people are turning to linux as their main provider. Because it is free and an open source project, it gives the best of both worlds.
If Linux is making M$ shake in their boots, I bet open source is the wave of the future.
Linux currently has a 6% market share, which is more than Apple. With their growth patterns, I suspect linux to take over the server industry. With linux being implemented on desktops, there is no telling what the future will hold.
I tell you what though, I am backing linux. All of our dual xeons run Linux. If linux ever unifies and offers an IPO, I know that I will invest
What do you think?
